Mr President (Whole Lotta' Trouble)

DEUCE is excited to announce the release of our first single through the DEUCE MUSIC label; Mr President (Whole Lotta' Trouble) performed, produced, mixed and mastered by Norm Sabourin from Aqua Sound Entertainment in Toronto, Canada.

Originally titled Recycled Records, the label  is a compilation of tracks previously released and recorded by independent bands and artists over the past 20 years that were promoted by DEUCE and now re-recorded with new vocalists under the name DEUCE MUSIC.

The project also aims to highlight the plights bands and artists past and present face when trying to make a career in the music industry.

Due to the  political nature around the song and the current climate, to avoid potential implications the singer on the new version of Mr. President has requested to be kept anonymous.  Rumour has it she is very well known though.....

Backing vocals were recorded by renowned session singer Phil Francis from the UK.

The track was originally released in 2003 by Sungover  (pictured below)

Sungover were on the brink of success having won a national competition for unsigned bands.

The prize was studio time to re-record their winning song as well as the promise of thousands of pounds worth of PR to promote the track.

Upon visiting the studio, the band soon realised the producer had other ideas on how the track should sound, the final outcome being a completely different song recorded, with the promise of PR around it proving to be unfounded.

With their hopes shattered, Sungover shortly after split up.
