The Deuce Act of the week is Americana duo Pretty Gritty who are based in Portland, Oregon, USA.

In a world where the music charts are dominated by manufactured acts, TV talent shows and over-produced songs, Pretty Gritty are out to show success can still be achieved through hard work, disappointments, perseverance, and most importantly their cultivated, timeless and classic Rootsy-Americana sound.

The making of their second full album Seven Year Itch which has recently been released is a triumph above adversity in its own right after the duo and their label experienced near-death experiences, illnesses, year-long delays, and tip jars to ensure the album was finally released.
