The Finest Hour

The Deuce Act of the week is Indie Folk band The Finest Hour who are based in Cleethorpes, England.

Taking their name from the words used in Winston Churchill’s famous speech, The Finest Hour carries a definite English connotation which is what the band conveys as they strive to put across their background and upbringing in their lyrics.
Quoted as being ‘Powerful stuff’, the band have achieved so much in their time together including a live session on BBC Radio along with a number of other local radio stations, supporting The Mystery Jets, and performing at a selection of top venues including the Cavern Club in Liverpool and the Half Moon in Putney, London as well as less glamorous places such as an ice cream parlour roof and the kitchen at Salford student halls….
The Finest Hour now return with their new single Brighter Day; their first release in 8 years. Details on this along with further information on The Finest Hour can be found on their website www.facebook.com/thefinesthouruk or you can follow them on Twitter at www.twitter.com/thefinesthour
